Yes! Please bring a disposable, insulated cooler with your name on it to the hospital / birth center so the placenta stays cold until it is picked up. Ask your nurse to pack it on ice!

Be sure to tell your nurses and provider that you plan on keeping your placenta BEFORE you deliver and have it in your birth plan. They will put it in biohazard bags / containers and label everything with your name on it. Pack the placenta on ice in the cooler.

Yes! Placenta encapsulation can help increase your milk supply. If you feel like the capsules are decreasing your supply or changing it any way, decrease number of pills taken or discontinue use.

Yes! Placenta encapsulation is safe! In rare cases, your placenta may not be eligible for encapsulation. Once your intake form is filled out, I will let you know if there is any reason I see that wouldn’t allow for me to encapsulate your placenta. After the birth, I will check in with you once again to make sure everything is safe to move forward with the process.
